Brand Assets

The Namesake brand is inspired by photocopied documents and queer zines. It communicates information authentically, clearly, and without BS or jargon.

Typography

The text you’re reading now is set in Alte Haas Grotesk, a rounded version of Neue Haas Grotesk—better known today as Helvetica. Alte Haas Grotesk was created by Yann Le Coroller and is freely distributed. It emulates the look of printed text.

Color

Namesake brand colors are inspired by the colored printer paper commonly used for zines. Namesake’s primary purple is produced by evenly blending together every stripe on the trans flag.

Text is always set in Photocopy Black (#111111). Most pages should use a single background color beneath black text. Text on top of a full-page image may use Photocopy White (#E1E1E1).
